Lectures are presented by all churches of Christ, Scientist. The normal schedule is for each church to provide at least one lecture a year. A Christian Science lecture is a presentation for the public by a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship organized out of The Mother Church in Boston, MA. For a man or woman to become a lecturer, they must have been in the public practice of CS healing for a number of years and be capable of explaining its ideas and concepts to the public. These lectures are intended for the general public as well as for those with a CS background and some healing experience. They also address impositions on the public thought that might cause confusion or be incorrect. Throughout the years lectures have provided a great service in educating the truth about CS and a wealth of material and ideas that those interested can peruse and study for years to come.
